How Often Should You Change Your Pillows?


Did you know that your pillow is dirtier than you ever imagine? Just visualize the pillow is a sponge that absorbs dead skin cells, oil, and sweat from your skin and scalp while you sleep on it. You may think that changing the pillow cover regularly will help, but all those dirt seeps to your pillow day by day, causing skin problems and allergy. In normal usage, pillow must be changed every 1 to 2 years. Maintain and clean it regularly will only help to extend its lifespan. 1. Your pillow shape seems uneven or shrinking down

2. There are big chunks of internal material when you press it

What type of pillow has the longest lifespan?

Since most of the pillow type has to be replaced every 1 to 2 years, some of the pillow type has lesser or longer lifespan. Pillow with feather material or memory foam can last up to 3 years. The shortest pillow lifespan in general goes to polyester pillows, they are recommended to be changed as early as 6 months.



Keep changing the pillow may be troublesome for homeowner. Just imagine, if you have 5 members in your family, you – at least – must purchase 5 pillows every year or two.
